squaring off in benefit softball game
ISHPEMING — The Emergency Departments from
Bell Hospital and Marquette General Hospital will gather at the
Ishpeming Playgrounds on Saturday afternoon for a spirited game
of softball.
The big winner, though, will be Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette
and Alger Counties.
The inaugural softball game, scheduled to be held from noon to
4 p.m. at the Ishpeming Playgrounds field, will serve as a fund-raiser
to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Each player is required to
pay a $10 participation fee. The game is free to spectators.
Food and refreshments will be available at the game. Canisters
will be at the field, and spectators are encouraged to give to
Big Brothers Big Sisters.

more than 200,000 children, ages 6 through 18, in 5,000 communities
across all 50 states
