Nephrologist joins U.P. Internal Medicine Associates
Nephrologist Dr. Daniel Azabache has joined U.P.
Internal Medicine Associates in the Peninsula Medical Center and
is on staff at Marquette General
Health System. He joins nephrologists Dr. Marc Himes and Dr. Jerold Napier,
along with several internal medicine physicians and a rheumatologist.

Dr. Daniel Azabache
Board certified in nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. Azabache
brings to Marquette 24 years of clinical experience in ultrasound
and nephrology.
A nephrologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems relating
to kidney function abnormalities, including chronic renal failure, acute
renal failure, hypertension, and various metabolic disturbances. He also
manages
the care of dialysis patients.
Dr. Azabache comes to Marquette from Murfreesboro, Tenn., where he owned
his own practice and served as Medical Director of two dialysis units for
six years.
Prior to that, he worked at private practices in Florida and Tennessee.
He has a wealth of clinical experience in ultrasound, radiology and general
medicine.
Dr. Azabache completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of New York
Health Science Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed a residency in internal
medicine at the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
Dr. Azabache earned his medical degree from National University Federico
Villarreal in Lima, Peru. He also holds a sonographer degree from Ultrasound
Diagnostic
School in New York.
He’s a member of a number of professional organizations.
