Cardiologist joins Marquette
General Medical Staff
Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, PC,
and the Marquette General Heart
Institute welcome cardiologist M. Shakil Aslam MD to the Marquette
medical community.

As a cardiologist Dr. Aslam’s primary professional focus
is treatment for patients with heart disease. By referral from
a primary care physician, Dr. Aslam diagnoses and treats angina
and heart attacks, and provides cardiac rehabilitation services.
He also performs heart catheterization, coronary angioplasty,
echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and the
implantation of temporary and permanent pacemakers.
Dr. Aslam is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine.
He completed a cardiology fellowship at Lutheran General Hospital
in Park Ridge, Illinois. His internal medicine residency was completed
at North Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Aslam has been employed by Upper Michigan Cardiology Associates
for the past three years, practicing full time at Grand View Health
System in Ironwood. He has also served on the active medical staff
of Marquette General Hospital since April, 2003.
