Auxiliary donates to MGHS Foundation

American
Legion Auxiliary presents $1,000 check to MGHS Foundation,
money earmarked to Family Birthing Center to purchase rocker/recliner.
The American
Legion Auxiliary of Marquette has once again opened its
heart to the Family Birthing Center and Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit at Marquette General Hospital. |
The American
Legion Auxiliary Unit 44 has donated $1,000 to the Marquette
General Health System Foundation, with the money directed
to the NICU. With the funds, the NICU purchased a rocker/recliner, in photo,
for the NICU.
Over the years,
the American Legion has purchased a number of items and donated
money — totaling close to $10,000 — to the
FBC and NICU.
The American
Legion is able to purchase gifts by collecting pop can tabs and
selling them to a recycling center.
