Marquette General Health System welcomes Geriatric Psychiatrist
Geriatric Psychiatrist, Dr. Meredith Walgren, has joined the medical staff of Marquette General Health System.

With more than 14 years of experience in adult and geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Walgren comes to the Marquette General Neuroscience Center from Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where she served as the medical director of psychiatry, and also maintained a private practice.
As a geriatric psychiatrist, Dr. Walgren specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of dementia and other disorders with cognitive impairment, mood and psychotic disorders in old adults as well as patients with brain injury or stroke, and chronic pain syndromes in older adults.
Board certified in general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Walgren completed her geriatric fellowship and residency at Cornell University Medical College. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, and earned her doctorate in psychology from Purdue University. She earned her master's degree in psychology from Yale University, and earned her bachelor's degree in psychobiology from Mount Holyoke College.
