Your H1N1 questions answered
Due to collaboration among the Western U.P. Health Department, Northern Michigan University, the Marquette County Health Department, Bell Memorial Hospital and Marquette General Health System, a recent WNMU TV-13 Ask the Doctors program about H1N1 has been converted into a webcast to provide the public access to important information regarding H1N1.
The webcast answers questions such as:
- Why should I get the flu shot?
- Can you test for immunity to H1N1?
- Is the pig population infected?
- What’s the difference between the two vaccines?
- Can you get the flu from the flu shot?
The physicians featured in the webcast, which was hosted by Dr. Michael Conley, obstetrics and gynecology, include Dr. Jeffrey Gephart, infectious disease; Dr. Kevin Piggott, community health and family medicine; and Dr. John Bartlett, internal medicine and pediatrics.
The webcast is 60 minutes and has been formatted to allow users to advance the slides to view the topics. The webcast can be viewed by visiting the following websites:
