U.P. Regional Blood Center holding “Cinco De Mayo” blood drive May 5
The U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette, a service of Marquette General Health System, is holding a “Cinco De Mayo” blood drive on Monday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., located at 437 W. College Ave., next to Marquette General Hospital.
Salsa and Chips will be provided by Border Grill. Other Mexican food will also be provided. There will also be two contests:
1. “How Many Red Hosts (Blood Drops) in the Blood Bag?” The winner will received a dinner for two and a one-night stay at the Landmark Inn of Marquette.
2. “Blood Donor Knowledge Quiz”. The individual with the most answers correct by the end of the blood drive will receive an overnight stay at the Country Inn and Suites of Marquette.
The U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette provides blood products to 13 Upper Peninsula hospitals, including Marquette General.
