Father Marquette Elementary students receive 911 emergency education

Joshua Iwanicki (kneeling), Father Marquette Elementary School second grader, talks with a 911 emergency dispatcher regarding fellow student, Julia Jones. Jones simulated a medical emergency in the classroom. Gary Gustafson (standing), MGHS EMS Paramedic/RN and Injury Prevention Coordinator, guides them through the process.
This awareness presentation was to help students understand the critical role they play in the emergency chain of survival. The presentation was done in conjunction with staff from Marquette County Central Dispatch, MGHS Trauma Department, and made possible through the MGHS Women & Children’s Center and the Kohl’s Cares for Kids initiative.
