LAPAROSCOPIC ASSISTED VAGINAL HYSTERECTOMY (LAVH)

LAVH is a less painful, faster recovery method of performing a hystergctomy through small incisions in the abdomen through which a telescope and instrruments are passed. The uterus is then removed vaginally eliminating a 4" to 6" abdominal scar. The patient does not have the post-op pain associated with an abdominal scar, has a shorter recovery period, and can return to work sooner.
