Surgical Services - Marquette General Health System ANESTHESIA The anesthesia care team at Marquette General Health Systems is comprised of nurses, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and physician anesthesiologists who have completed a specialized residency in anesthesia. Our anesthesiologists have completed speciality fellowships in neuro-anesthesia, pediatrics, and pain management. Your surgeon may ask you to visit with the anesthesiologist prior to the scheduled date of your surgery. The phone number to schedule this appointment is 906-225-3595. Otherwise you will be visited by the anesthesiologist the day of your procedure. The interview with the anesthesiologist will include a review of your general health and focus on specific conditions related to your illness. Diagnostic studies will be reviewed and there will be a brief physical examination by the anesthesiologist. As with all medical interventions, there are risks associated with anesthesia which range in severity. These and options and recommendations for anesthesia will be discussed with you and informed consent obtained by your signature or other responsible party prior to surgery. During the course of your procedure the latest in monitoring technology will help to ensure your comfort and safety.
