| Epilepsy
is a common neurological condition that can produce disturbances
in the brain’s electrical functions. When someone has
epilepsy, normal brain patterns may be interrupted by millions
of intense electrical impulses that occur at the same time,
producing abnormal electrical activity in the brain and resulting
in a seizure.
Patients
with epilepsy are encouraged to ask their physician for a
referral to the Epilepsy Clinic. Referrals can be made by
calling Neurology Associates of Marquette
at 1-888-886-4644 or 906-225-4840.
