Combitube:

The Combitube Special Study program allows licensed Medical First Responders in Marquette County the use of the Combitube in adult patients who are unconscious and unable to protect their own airway.

This program was originally approved in 1997. Currently, MFR’s in Marquette County are being recertified quarterly on the use of the Combitube, as directed in the MDCIS approval of the Special Study.

Use of the Combitube is reported to the Medical Control Authority office by the service at the time of their monthly run sheet submittal, using the Special Study Reporting Form. The information collected for the services is included in the Special Study Summary Report required by the MDCIS.
