Q: What is the cost of a certified Birth Certificate copy?
A: $10.00
   
Q: Can I get more than one copy?
A: Yes. The second copy is an additional $5.00
(when you get the second copy at the same time you purchase the first).
   
Q: Where do I get the Birth Certificate?
A: You can get the Birth Certificate in person* or by mail**:

County Clerk's Office 234

  *The certified Birth Certificate will be available for pick up two weeks from birth.
  **send a written request with payment to the Marquette County Court House - County Clerk's Office, along with the baby's date of birth. the full name of the baby and parents, and an address to which to send the Birth Certificate.
   
Q: Where is the court house located?
A: South of Washington Street between Third and Fourth streets on Baraga Avenue.
   
Q: When does the social security card arrive?
A: 4-6 weeks. Contact the Social Security Office (1-800-772-1213) with any questions. The office is located at 300 S. Front Street in Marquette (906-226-3596).
