The Donor Registry
The Michigan Organ Donor Registry is a means of making your wishes known that you want to be an organ and tissue donor.
To be sure you are on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry, you should have a red heart sticker on the front of your driver's license or state I.D. Other means of expressing your wishes are to include donor information your Living Will or Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care. However, these items are not always immediately available. Therefore, the Michigan Organ Donor Registry is a practical means to ensure that your donation wishes, at the time of death, are
known.
