The Medical Center Laboratory which is located in Suite 136 of the Peninsula Medical Center as part of the MGHS PAT Lab and Testing Center, employs a staff of 13 Patient Services Assistants, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and Medical Technologists.

Routine and Stat testing is performed in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, along with manual testing procedures for rapid Strep A screening, serum and urine pregnancy, bleeding time, and mononucleosis. In addition to our lab testing services, EKGs are performed by Medical Center Laboratory staff, the results are transmitted to the MGHS Cardiographic Services Department for evaluation and reporting.

Testing that is requested for procedures that are not available at the Medical Center Laboratory are performed at the Main Laboratory located at Marquette General Hospital. That testing is also available Stat via the MGHS Logistics Department.

Customers served by the Medical Center Laboratory include Peninsula Medical Center physicians and their patients,
Pre Admission Testing patients, home nursing agencies and their patients, and nursing home patients.
