Collection Info |
  | Specimen should be refirgerated during collection. Mix well prior to preparing aliquot. Adequate refrigeration is the most important aspect of specimen preservation. Preservation can be enhanced by adjusting pH to 2-4. Adjust the pH by adding an acid such as 6 mol/L HCL. A pH of <2 will decrease analyte stability. Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form. |
