Submit One of the follwoing: 1) The Thin Prep Urocyte Urine collection kit for Vysis Urovysion FISH testing is preferred. Follow Instructions included in kit. 2) If kit is not used, submit a random urine specimen with an equal volume of 70% ethanol or PreservCyt. Send specimen refrigerated in a plastic, 60 mL urine Bottle. A minimum of 30 mL of urine is recommended. *Specimens will not be rejected if volume is < 30 mL. |

Clinical Utilities
Monitoring for recurrence in patients with a history of UC
involving the bladder or upper urinary tract and for
assessing patients with hematuria for urothelial carcinoma.
