Specimen Required 2 Lavender EDTA 7 mL/3.0 mL plasma (2.5 mL minimum). Centrifuge and separate from cells within 6 hours of collection. Refrigerate. Dedicated specimens are required. Specimens used in other assays will not be tested. Alternate Specimen 1 SST Tube 7 mL/3.0 mL serum (2.5 mL minimum). Rejection Criteria White top plasma preparation tubes (PPT). Shared specimens. Specimens subjected to repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Specimens that do not meet the storage/handling conditions criteria above. |
