Collection Info |
Draw blood in a lavender-top tube and send 3.0 mL of EDTA plasma. Separate plasma immediately after collection and freeze in a plastic vial. Send specimen frozen. NOTE: 1. For baseline specimens, patient should be drawn during the nightime (2:00-4:00am). 2. Patient should not be exposed to bright light before or during the time of specimen collection. 3. Patient should not be on any Steriod, ACTH, or Gonadotropin medications, if possible, for at least 48 hours prior to collection of specimen. |
