Used to aid in the diagnosis of motor/sensory neuropathy. Asialo-GM1
autoantibodies, in the absence of correspondingly high concentrations
of GM1 autoantibodies, identify a subset of patients with motor neuron disease
exhibiting proximal muscle weakness in the early stages.
