  | 1. The patient should not have urinated for at least one hour prior to collection. 2. Patient should collect the first 10-20 mL of voided urine in a sterile leak-proof container. Collection of larger volume may reduce test sensitivity. Female patients should not cleanse the labial area prior to providing the specimen. 3. Freeze the urine immediately after collection. |
