  | Serum Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube. Spin down and send 1.5 mL of serum frozen in plastic vial on dry ice. Serum for a peak level should be taken 30 minutes after completion of infusion of an intravenous dose or 60 minutes after an intramuscular or oral dose of the anti- microbial to be assayed. |
