  | 4.0 mL from a 24-hour urine collection. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection, and send specimen refrigerated in a plastic, 13-mL urine tube. Note: 1. Specimens with pH lower than 5.0 will be rejected. 2. 24-hour collections are preferred, but second- morning voided and random specimens are also acceptable. Urine Preservative Collection Options Note: The addition of preservative or application of temperature controls must occur within 4 hours of completion of the collection. |
