  | 1.0 mL of amniotic fluid. Do not centrifuge. Send specimen refriger- ated (keep specimen cool with frozen coolant April-October, refriger- ated coolant November-March). NOTE: 1. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FOR PROCESSING: A. FIRST DAY OF LAST MENSTRUAL PERIOD B. DATE ULTRASOUND PERFORMED C. GESTATIONAL AGE BY ULTRASOUND D. COLLECTION DATE 2. Gestational age must be between 13 and 24 weeks; 16-18 weeks preferred. 3. If chromosome studies are also requested, see "Chromosome Analysis, Amniotic Fluid." The specimen for alpha-fetoprotein, amniotic fluid testing, when requested with chromosome analysis, cannot be frozen. |

Interpretive report will be supplied.
Abnormally high values are called back and discussed with the
