fasting patient (4 hour fast preferred).  Spin down and send 2.4 mL of

25 Hydroxy Vitamin D (test code OHD) is the analyte routinely monitored for assessment of vitamin D dietary deficiency or toxicity. 1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D levels may be low or normal cases of vitamin D toxicity. Separate normal ranges for summer and winter are no longer given.
