Collection Info

   Both serum and spinal fluid are required for this test.  Specimens
must be drawn within 7 days of each other.
 
Serum
Draw blood in an SST tube.  Spin down and send 0.5 mL of serum frozen
in plastic vial on dry ice.
 
Spinal Fluid
0.5 mL of spinal fluid.  Send specimen frozen in plastic vial on
dry ice.
NOTE:  1. Label specimens appropriately (serum and spinal fluid).
