Collection Info

   1.  Test must be scheduled in advance with the Hematology department.
2.  Patient must come to the laboratory to have blood drawn no later
     than 10:00AM the day of the test as blood must be "fresh".
3.  Patient's platelet count must be no lower than 50,000 to perform test.
4.  Aspirin or aspirin compounds will effect the test.
5.  Test is complex and time consuming and cannot be ordered "stat"
     whether patient is an in or out patient.
6.  Test must be reviewed and commented on by a pathologist before
     being sent to chart and/or doctor.  A separate report will be sent.

Direct luminescence and whole blood impedence aggregation.

Clinical Utilities
Evaluation of aggregation with the following agents: ADP, collagen, thrombin, arachidonic acid, and ristocetin.
