  | Inpatient: Place specimen in clean stool container. Reference lab: Place specimen in formalin and PVA transport tubes and mix specimens with preservative. Do not overfill. It is recommended that 3 specimens should be collected one a day for 3 days. If microspordium is suspected it must be indicated on request form. If trichrome smear is desired it must be indicated on the request form. Note: Complete appropriate form: Inpatient: Microbiology request form. Reference: Reference lab request form. |
