Clinical Utilities
Qualitative screening test intended for overdose or emergency situations. Specimens
are screened using TLC and immunoassay techniques. Positive results are not confirmed.
Results are presumptive. Specimens are routinely screened for the following

Amphetamine Ethchlorvynol
Barbiturates: Meperidine
Amobarbital Methamphetamine
Aprobarbital Pentazocine
Barbital Phenothiazines:
Butabarbital Chlorpromazine

Test is normally only performed Monday - Friday 7AM - 3 PM. Requests for routine Emergency Drug Screen testing after 3 PM will be held unitl the next available testing day. Specimens requiring STAT attention after hours will incur an after hours processing fee. Please be sure to indicate the priority of these specimens upon submission.
