Males 90 - 195 ng/mL
Females 100 - 225 ng/mL
Carcinoid 500 - 3500 ng/mL
Children Up to 300 ng/mL
Reflex Reason
Patient should avoid avocados, bananas, eggplant, pineapples,
plums, tomatoes, or walnuts for a 48-hour period prior to
start of collection. Split into 2 plastic vials before freezing.
Also known as serotonin. NOTE: Hemolysed sample will be rejected.
