  | Transportation: Biobag CO2 Transport system with Thayer-Martin and chocolate plates. Specimen: Body fluid, discharge, pus, swab of genital lesions, urethral discharge(best when available for men), sediment of first 10ul of centrifuged urine collected at least 2 hours after last micturition or first few drops of urine voided into a sterile cup for "first voided urine specimen" for asymptomatic males, or first void overnight urine, centrifuged. The plates and the Biobag system (TM) are available upon request from the Marquette General Hospital Microbiology Section. Inoculate the Choc plate first and the Thayer-Martin plate second; place both plates and the Co2 generator in the Biobag; zip lock the bag; then break the generator and transport to Marquette General Hospital Laboratory.
