MGH is proud to be a designed drop-off site in a community effort to collect new shoes and socks for children in need in our community.

The project is a statewide effort by JumpStart Michigan and Michigan Stand for Children Children's Action Team (CAT) to provide new shoes for kids.

It's an effort to make a positive difference in the lives of young children.

Last year, more than 2,000 pairs of shoes and 3,000 pairs of socks were collected in the state. The goal this year is 5,000 pairs of shoes and 5,000 pairs of socks.

MGH employees are encouraged to support this worthwhile endeavor. The collection sites will be on the first floor of the Robert C. Neldberg Building and in front of the Health Information Center.

The final day to donate is Oct. 25.
