Mary Andes is the assistant director of community relations and marketing. She has been at MGH since 1986.

Prior to coming to MGH, Mary served as commercial producer/writer at WLUC TV6 for eight years.

In addition to her fine work at MGH, Mary has served in an assortment of varied capacities. She has held the offices of congregation council, secretary and president at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette.

She has served on the boards of Community Coordinated Child Care of the Upper Peninsula and the U.P. Children's Museum; she was a founder and board president of the After School Program, Inc; was a member of the advisory council for Lutheran Social Services of the Upper Peninsula; was an advisory board member for Ameritech; and is a member of the Society of Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, and the Marquette Area Chamber of Commerce.

She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Northern Michigan University and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

In her spare time, Mary likes to ski, sew, paint, read and draw.

To be chosen for inclusion, candidates must have held a position of responsibility or have attained a significant achievement in their field.

Who's Who in the Media and Communications is a guide to nearly 18,000 of today's most influential people in the fields of media and communications.

"We congratulate Mary Andes on her achievements," said Paul Canning, Publisher of Marquis Who's Who. "Our editors use stringent selection criteria to choose the most distinguished professionals for inclusion in each edition."
