UP Health System – Marquette welcomes David Viau, MD, to Emergency Medicine

August 3, 2016 - MARQUETTE - UP Health System – Marquette announced that David Viau, MD has joined its Emergency Medicine team.
Dr. Viau received his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He completed his undergraduate work in biochemistry and graduate work in Biology & Biochemistry at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. Dr. Viau recently completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the Detroit Medical Center – Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, MI.
Dr. Viau is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Residents Association, and previously held the position of Teaching Assistant in the Northern Michigan University Department of Biology, and Volunteer Research Assistant in the Wayne State Department of Physiology.
Dr. Viau’s publications have appeared in the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Current Emergency and Hospital Medicine Reports, and the journal Heart. Dr. Viau has also dedicated his time to volunteer work throughout Detroit, MI and at the Cass Clinic in Detroit, where he provided care for uninsured patients.
