Free Public Presentation on Diet and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) with Ann Silverman, MD, Gastroenterologist

October 16, 2017

Ann Silverman, MD will present on “Diet and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)” in a free, public presentation at Northern Michigan University on Thursday, October 26th.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) refers to disorders that involve chronic inflammation of the digestive tract, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

An estimated 3 million U.S. adults report having been diagnosed with IBD, and most are diagnosed before age 30.

There is no cure for IBD, but symptoms can be successfully controlled through a combination of diet and lifestyle changes and/or medicine. Learning the facts about risk factors and treatment options can greatly reduce the debilitating effects of IBD and improve quality of life.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, October 26th with a complementary dinner at 5:30 p.m. and presentation at 6 p.m. at Northern Michigan University’s University Center – Peter White Lounge at 1400 Presque Isle Ave., Marquette, MI.

There is no cost to attend, though RSVP is necessary, as seating is limited. Please call 844.411.8747 to reserve your spot today.
