Coordination of supplies & equipment


In cooperation with the pharmacy at Marquette General, the home infusion program provides long term intravenous therapy for hydration, chemotherapy, medications, and nutrition.

Marquette General Home InfusionTherapies include:

>> T.P.N. (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
>> Antibiotics
>> Anticoagulants
>> Chemotherapy
>> Pain Management
>> Total Enteral Nutrition
>> 24-hour service 7 days a week


Coordination of supplies & equipment
>> Available throughout the Upper Peninsula via daily courier service.
>> Provides expert coordination and smooth transition of care from hospital to home.
>> Provides personalized training for the patient and caregiver.
>> Serves as a consultant to Upper Peninsula health care agencies regarding infusion therapy needs.

Registered Pharmacist (RPH)

>> Provides ongoing assessment of medication profiles.
>> Ensures the safe and accurate dispensing of intravenous medications.
>> Collaborates with physicians and registered nurses on the ideal modalities of all types of infusion therapy.


Home Infusion Program
>> Assists the patient in meeting short and long term infusion therapy needs in their home environment.
>> Provides the same high quality service as in the hospital setting.
>> Supports smooth transition from hospital to home.
>> Specializes in coordination of services to meet the patient's individual needs.
>> Works closely with discharge planners, home care agencies, patients, families & caregivers.
>> Personalizes training and teaching of infusion needs.

A board certified physician provides professional advisement to the home care team.
