Marquette General Heart Institute

Treatment

Its important to know that heart surgery is done here almost every day; that we have one of only 1,000 pediatric cardiologists in the nation, and one of only 300 cardiologists board certified in cardiac electrophysiology.  The Marquette General Heart Institute's interventional and surgical cardiac program is staffed by 12 board certified or board eligible physicians, including the only Nuclear Cardiologist in the Upper Peninsula.

The Marquette General Heart Institute continually evaluates the quality of care.  An ongoing formal quality improvement program has been established in which a collaborative practice committee comprised of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, administrators, quality management staff (or personnel) and nurses oversee the process.
