“The Link” will meet the
4th Tuesday of each month at 3 PM.

The Marquette General Hospital Adult Diabetes Support Group
and the U.P. Heart Club have combined to form “The Link”

A Support Group for Adults
with Heart Disease and/or Diabetes.

Diabetes and heart disease share many of the same risk factors.
If you are at risk for diabetes you are also at risk for heart disease.
It is estimated that 2 out of 3 people with diabetes
will die of a heart attack or stroke. This is why MGH has
combined these two support groups to form one. “The Link”
will provide you with information on both of these conditions
to help you make changes to reduce your risk factors. Each
month we will focus on a life-style change that can help you to
manage your health whether you have heart disease, diabetes, or both.
