Jim has been an employee at Marquette General for nearly 15 years. He joined the Foundation in February, 2006, after working as the Media Coordinator in the Community Relations and Marketing Department at Marquette General.

Jim earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northern Michigan University.

An Upper Peninsula native and self-proclaimed sports “junkie,” Jim enjoys freelance writing and reading, camping, playing basketball, racquetball and tennis, coaching youth basketball, and spending quality time with his wife, Kim, and three children.  

“I really love meeting and interacting with people,” Jim said. “Philanthropy plays a very important role in health care. I’m extremely proud to be on the Foundation Team.”

Sarah Janda —
Executive Assistant

Sarah is the Executive Assistant for the Marquette General Foundation.

A native of Escanaba, she brings to Marquette General eight years experience in grant management, project implementation and volunteer coordination in the field of natural resources. “Nearly everyone has a story of how they or someone they know has been impacted by the quality health care that Marquette General Health System provides,” said Sarah, who joined the Foundation in July 2009. “I’m excited to share those stories and be a part of the Marquette General Foundation Team.”

In her free time, Sarah enjoys gardening, hiking, and walking her dog with her husband, Tim.
