NMU “kicking off” support of Pink Experience!

Northern Michigan University’s Athletics and Recreational Sports Department is making a special offer to the Marquette General Foundation in advance of the home opener football game vs. Minnesota State-Mankato scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, in the Superior Dome. For every game ticket sold, NMU will graciously gift $1 to the Marquette General Foundation to help purchase a new stereotactic breast biopsy machine used to detect breast cancer.

NMU is working very closely with the Marquette General Foundation, with help from supporting sponsor VAST of Marquette, on the upcoming Pink Experience on Saturday, Nov. 5 (see press release http://www.mgh.org/foundation/news/pink_experience_2011.html).

This is NMU’s way of “kicking” off the season and providing a wonderful lead gift to the Pink Experience. We encourage our employees to help support the Wildcats and breast cancer by purchasing a ticket and attending the game! Tickets are available in the Superior Dome in advance and the day of the game. In addition, a tailgate party will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in Lots 54 and 55 behind the dome!
