Howard Piotrowski, right, Neenah Paper’s Munising Mill Manager, presents a commitment letter to Jim LaJoie for a $25,000 pledge gift to the Marquette General Foundation’s Accelerating the Future Capital Campaign. LaJoie is the Planned Giving and Major Gifts Manager of Marquette General.

“We’re pleased to support MGH’s $4 million fundraising drive and make a commitment to assist in supporting the purchase of state-of-the-art radiation treatment technology to enhance the cancer treatment center at Marquette General,” Piotrowski said. “Historically, we have made charitable contributions within the local area of Neenah Paper’s Munising Mill and we will continue to do so.

This commitment is to recognize the residents of Alger County. In the past few years, we have had several hundred residents of Alger County rely on Marquette General for their cancer care. Some of these patients have included employees of the Munising mill, in addition to their family members, friends and relatives.

This donation and partnership with Marquette General helps ensure that local residents have the latest technological resource to address their ever growing medical needs.”

The generous gift comes with a naming opportunity for Neenah Paper.

To date, more than $2.2 million has been raised toward the fundraising goal of $4 million. Individuals or businesses wishing to learn more about this capital campaign are encouraged to visit the website at www.mgh.org/foundation or call
