Brain Tumor Center accepts gift from ‘Joggin fundraiser

The Northern Michigan University Volunteer Center, NMU Student Nurses Association and the NMU Students for Organ Donation teamed up this past November to put together Joggin’ for her Noggin’, an event to raise money for a Marquette County NMU student diagnosed and treated at Marquette General Hospital with a brain tumor.

One hundred and ninety-two runners and walkers participated in the inaugural event. A portion of the money raised ($1,100) was gifted to the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center (UMBTC), a partnership between NMU and MGH that conducts brain cancer research.
