MGHS Employee Campaign - Accelerating the Future Capital Campaign

Employee Campaign a Big Success

Inspiring

  Accelerating the Future

That pretty much sums up the support of our MGHS employees in reviewing the first-ever Employee Campaign to help raise money for a new Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator in Radiation Oncology.

More than 600 employees completed and returned their pledge packets to the Marquette General Foundation. Employee participation has been truly fantastic, making this campaign highly successful.

Our Team, along with a talented Employee Campaign Committee, really enjoyed crafting an employee campaign, using a Movie Theme as a backdrop. We offered a number of contests and games during this period, and the participation from all of our employees was truly outstanding. We’re happy that our employees enjoyed this.

Along the way, we sincerely hope we have been there to help educate our employees about the vital role Foundations have in the delivery of quality healthcare services here and across the country. Philanthropic gifts make it possible to invest in technologies and services that would otherwise not be possible due to tight budgets. We call these Gifts at Work, and if you go to our web page (www.mgh.org/foundation), you’ll see many shining examples of these.

Our work is not done. It’s just beginning. Yet, let me say, on behalf of our Foundation Team and Employee Campaign Committee, thank you very much for your support for this first-ever capital campaign. Some day, we will look back at our success with tremendous pride and joy, knowing we all did our part in helping the hospital invest in the most innovative equipment to treat our loved ones and friends.

And the winner is ....
Barb Lawry (Buyer) from Purchasing!

Accelerating the Future - Barb Lawry

Barb Lawry , second from right, proudly holds a new 32-inch flat
screen television she won in a random drawing. Lawry was one of
several hundred MGHS employees who returned their 2009
‘Accelerating the Future’ Employee Campaign pledge packets by noon
on Friday, Aug. 28.

Her name was randomly selected from all the employees who filled out a packet. Pictured, with Lawry, are Marquette General Foundation team members, from left, Jim LaJoie, Sarah Janda, Kristi Dahlstrom and Pam Benton. The Marquette General
Foundation and Marquette General Health System thank all employees who have contributed, and encourages all others to return their pledge forms. We’re striving for 100 percent participation!

VPs

Elvis (Dennis Boe, VP of Support Services) and Indiana Jones (David Graser, Senior VP and Chief Information Officer) were big hits at the Employee Campaign Kickoff.

The Foundation and the Employee Campaign Committee thanks all the VPs for donning costumers and having fun with our Movie Theme.

Linell McLaughlin

Linell McLaughlin, a clinical manager in Medical/Oncology, was the 500th employee to give to the campaign.

For this distinction, she was awarded a $50 gift certificate to the Casa Calabria. She is pictured with Jim LaJoie of the Marquette General Foundation.

Cathy Sleeter

Cathy Sleeter of Building Services, second from right, was the lucky winner of the eight (8) hours of PTO.

She attended one of the campaign information sessions, and her name was randomly drawn.

Donor Wall of Fame
