Kids and Philanthropy

Washington Middle School Student Council representatives and officers in grades six, seven and eight gather for a photo in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Marquette General Hospital.

Throughout the school year, the Calumet students raised $600 for the NICU. The money was raised by a DJ music service, working concession stands and selling holiday candy grams. The students selected the NICU to give their gift because a fellow student's relative was treated in the NICU.
