E.M.S. Instructor Coordinator Program And Refresher

The EMS Instructor/Coordinator Program will provide students with a knowledge base and understanding to effectively develop, manage and instruct the appropriate levels of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) primary and continuing education programs.
The program will provide extensive training to plan, prepare, conduct and evaluate EMS programs. We will provide guidance for complying with state regulations, required paperwork, and licensing requirements for the State of Michigan.

* James Loeper, EMT-P, I/C
* Dennis Karuzas, EMT-P, I/C

To be accepted into the program, the student must comply with the following:

1. Be currently licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Specialist (EMT-S), or Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) in the State of Michigan.
2. Must possess at least three (3) years of documented (DHS-EMS-003, 5/04) field experience at no less than the EMT-B level.
3. Must obtain an endorsement from at least two licensed EMS Instructor Coordinators who have coordinated educational programs for EMS personnel.
4. Must possess the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers Instructor certificate.

Registration Form (Print and send in)

· Thursday and Friday classes from 6 PM – 10 PM (EST)
· Saturday and Sunday classes run from 9 AM – 5 PM (EST)

* Students must attend all classes in order to obtain a certificate of completion.
* All classes will be held at Marquette General Health System Conference Center
* Continuing Education credits are available.
