Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The
BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to teach the skills
of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier
device and a bag-mask device), use of an automated external de-fibrillator
(AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It
is intended for participants who provide health care to patients
in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital
settings. The course is designed for anyone who is required to take
a Healthcare Provider Course for employment.
BLS for Healthcare Providers - Recertification
The
Recertification Course is a renewal program, which is required every
two years after the initial course. There is a review, practice
of BLS skills, a written examination and a BLS skills evaluation.
