Fudge Nut Bars

Cream together:

1 cup margarine
2 eggs
2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Add:

2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal

For the crust: Press 2/3 of above mixture into a 9 x 13 pan.

Melt together:

2 cups chocolate chips, melted
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine with chocolate mixture to make filling:

1 cup walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour chocolate filling over crust. Top with remaining 1/3 dry mixture.

Bake at 300° for about 30 minutes.

Cool before cutting.
