Tumor Board

Tumor Board is a multidisciplinary conference that meets weekly at Marquette General Health System. Cancer cases are reviewed by a representative group of physicians including medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, radiologist, pathologist, general surgeons and others.

All the information from the individual case is reviewed and discussion is held as to the most effective course to take in regards to diagnosis and/or treatment.

Technology has allowed for teleconferencing Tumor Board to outlying sites, thus allowing for broad regional dissemination of available oncological expertise to primary physicians in outlying areas, as well as a forum for physicians to learn from their peers.
