Tumor Registry

The Tumor Registry at Marquette General Health System is a database of cancer cases diagnosed or treated at MGHS since January 1, 1978.

This database contains extensive information about the site and extent of the disease, as well as the treatment and survival. We are required by state law to submit this information to the Michigan Department of Community Health as well as the National Cancer Database.

The information collected and submitted allows researchers and medical providers to gain a better understanding of the nature of the disease, assists them to improve the quality of care for cancer patients, determine what the most progressive treatment is, and can identify any trends or curves in cancer statistics for a specific area.
