Visitors

We want your stay at Marquette General Hospital to be as comfortable as possible.  To insure you and your roommate get the rest needed for recovery, please follow these guidelines regarding visitors:

General visiting hours are from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Special instructions are posted for everyone's health and safety.  
Please obey all special signs.
Have only two visitors at a time.
Please keep noise down to avoid disturbing others.
Keep visits brief.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hospital.
When a patient requires privacy, visitors may be asked to leave the room.
Check at the nurses station about:
1.    Permission to visit patients in isolation
2.    Having visitors under the age of 14
3.    Bring food in for patients
If permission is granted for a young person to visit, they must be supervised at all times by a family member or friend of the family. Staff are not permitted to provide child care.
Visitors may not have food or drink in patient rooms.  Please use the cafeteria and canteen areas.


Units with special visiting hours

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - first floor:

   
Bullet 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Bullet 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Bullet Visits are limited to 15 minutes.
Bullet Other times can be arranged with the nurse.
Bullet Limited to immediate family & significant others.
   
Advanced Cardiac Unit (ACU) - seventh floor:
   
Bullet Visits are arranged between the nurse and the
immediate family, keeping the patients's needs a priority.
Bullet Limited to immediate family & significant others.
   

Family Birthing Center: (secured unit)

   
Bullet OB, Peds and Neonatal Intensive Care all require parents to fill out immunization and health information.
Bullet Siblings under the age of 14 may visit the mother and newborn.  Immunization & health information is required.
   

Pediatrics:

   
Bullet OB, Peds and Neonatal Intensive Care all require parents to fill out immunization and health information.
Bullet Parents and grandparents may visit any time.
Bullet Siblings may visit with parents during the day and evening.  
Immunization and health information required.
Bullet Other visitors during regular visiting hours.
   

Psychiatric Units:

   
Bullet 2pm to 8pm     Visitors will be received by the patient's choice.
   
Neonatal Intensive Care:
   
Bullet OB, Peds and Neonatal Intensive Care all require parents to fill out immunization and health information.
Bullet Parents may visit at any time
Bullet Grandparents and siblings may visit with permission and by appointment.  
Immunization and health information required for siblings.
 
Behavioral Health:
   
Bullet Sundays and holidays between 2:30pm and 5:30pm.
